Airport NĂºmero Uno

Rain, rain go away... though its a tad overcast, I suppose it's preparing us well for our destination. Actually, my whole life in Western NY has prepared me for this trip.

Our bus driver said that you can see all the shades of green from the plane. You can bet I'll be filling my blog with everything green.

Meanwhile at the airport (below), A little relaxation and UNO before the flight! The plane is on time and I like it.

Say Hello to my "Options"

Tomorrow we Fly!.. but Tonight we Pack

Excluding Canada (mind you, I love Canada..aye), I have never been out of the country. I have never been immersed in a completely different culture, converted currency or packed for a week where I have no idea what to expect; so, knowing (or not knowing) this, my goal of packing light has gone out the window. I have packed for comfort but, lets be serious, I need options. But, for my first time packing abroad, I'd give myself a solid A- (we'll see how that fluctuates post trip).

Since this is my first experience out of the country, and I want to remember it as thoroughly as possible. I have created this blog to do just that. The cheek-and-tongue title is suppose to illustrate my non-existent Irish roots. My dark hair, brown eyes and awkward American disposition is going to quickly give me away.

I want to talk to as many people as possible. My goals are to to over-saturate my experience with knowledge of the Irish culture, come back with red hair and document it all on here.

Here's where things get tricky. I am bringing my Kindle Fire over my cumbersome laptop, so typing is going to be a tad difficult and time consuming-- I can only touch type for so long. I also don't know how much down time I will have to write. So 1 of 3 things will happen:
  1. Everything works out fabulously and I will have a snazzy blog full of experiences and pictures (this may be an unlikely scenario).
  2. I won't be able to write and instead will post all my beautiful pictures; therefore, making my blog a virtual photo album (highly possible).
  3. OR I won't have access to Wi-Fi and/or the ability to post any photos.... and *sigh* this will be a very lonely post (hopefully this is worst case scenario).

Let's hope for the best & may the luck of the Irish be with this blog!
